On March 19, 2018, the last male

northern white rhino (Sudan) died.

Today, a single female northern

white rhino (Fatu) is the last living

rhino to be able to reproduce.

In Italy, a team of veterinarians

have created 12 fertilized embryos

from Sudan and Fatu in an attempt

to bring the animal back from

extinction. This has never been

done before. Some people might

say that it is impossible.
